	The pins 1		The pins 1 & 2 are used as the input to the relay. When there is no voltage difference between them, the pins 5 & 6 are connected to 3 & 4 respectfully. When there is a voltage over pins 1 & 2, pins 5 & 6 are connected to 7 & 8 respectfully.

			Pin 5 is connected to 0V whilst pins 2 & 6 are connected to +12V this means that to cause the relay to close, pin 1 needs to be connected to 0V. This can be done by the trigger switch connecting pin 1 to 0V or by a feedback loop created when the switch is closed and pin 5 (0V) is connected to pin 7 which is hard wired to pin 1. To break the feedback loop, the reset switch is opened and the +12V power supply is interrupted.

			Pin 8 is the alarm signal. When the alarm is activated, this line is set to +12V and triggers alarms in other parts of the building
