White: Cold/Return

Shield: Power

Within the boxes, there is a choc block connecting the incoming and outgoing xlr components with three small wires. These wires then connect to the corresponding xlr pins.

The Tech workshop was built at the beginning of Semester 1, 2008 by Mal and Ewan (Set and Tech Managers) at the same time as rebuilding the lighting store near dimming.

The purpose of the workshop is to give somewhere for the tech manager to conduct repairs and for show technicians to create custom fittings etc without messing up the [[techbox]].

The workshop also houses the cable store, lamp store and storage for all sorts of other tech fun such as: floor pars, jumps, disco ball, floodlights, speakers, mains stuff, floor stands, domestic fittings, desk lamps, strobes, random cable for projects, hook clamps, nuts and bolts, spare plugs etc etc etc.

If a cable or other piece of equipment has a problem and needs repaired put it in the drawer at the end of the desk. NB: Anything broken with a hook clamp on it goes of the F.U.C.T. bar in the lighting store.

AKA: LX tape, Leccy
Electrical Insulation Tape can usually be found in the pockets of most [[techies]]. Uses include taping cables to the rig, wrapping cables up, hiding bare bits of wire (No! Just No.), strapping gel frames together and attaching unsuspecting victims to unmovable objects.

LX is used on the cables to mark their length, we use a similar system to [[Blacklight]] except we don't include red or yellow, which are on all cables to indicate that they belong to Bedlam. Lengths are always rounded down and if there are two bands, then the lengths are added.
